    Very good

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Damascus Gate with good access to all the main old city sights and in the extremely lively noisy souk which is bursting with goods and people. It is however, very quiet in the evening when everything shuts down. The roof terrace and restaurant both have wonderful views across the old city and the lounge where you can help yourself to tea and coffee (pay in the honesty box) is pleasant. The hotel has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and is a good budget hotel in an expensive city.

This is no reflection on the hotel but guests should know that taxis from the airport may not drop you at the Damascus Gate. Our shared taxi dropped everyone else outside their destination but stopped about 100 yards from the gate. The driver did point us in the right drection and we did not have huge bags so the walk to the gate was no problem. The locals were happy to direct us when we were unsure which way to go.

Location is exceptional for the Old City of Jerusalem

Very old hotel with no signs of investments in the last 30 years. Uncomfortable and overall dirty.

The location is wonderful, nice garden in the roof, friendly stuff, the room is nice and clean. It looks actually like the hotel not hostel. Tea and cofee is available during all the time, free wi-fi.

alcohol is forbidden in the hotel, impossble to pay with card

    Great

Convenient, great location (if one is not driving or dragging lots of luggage), remarkable lobby area, affordable, clean, provided different perspective on Old City sites/street names than standard tourist literature; desk clerk recommended outstanding falafel stand.

Window did not close fully, inadequate water pressure in shower, leaky valve to toilet when opened, room a/c did not seem to cool (though not really necessary that day): maintenance issues in the room.

    Nice

They moved me to a larger room on the second day.

They do not except credit cards, so you have to pay with us$ or nis. When I payed in nis they used their sell exchange rate, overcharging me by ~10 euros. They also tried to charge me more so I had to insist and show them the online booking receipt. The terrace is also closed.

    Very good

The staff is very nice. The fact that they changed us to a bigger room at no extra cost due to the ammount of bags we had to fit in the small room.

No assessories in the room or bathroom like table lamps, small carpet in the room, and towel hangers.

Great location, near the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Nice and authentic staff and atmosphere, great view from the terrace.

Little bit expensive for the comfort.

    Very good

staff great, its a little run down, bathroom doors fall off, doors have to be banged to shut, breakfast is great and budget, but it is just a little too expensive for what it is but is in the old city of Jerusalem!

the smell from the sewers, terrible, in the bathroom, cheap doors, that bang, but in general the run down aspect of the place for not a cheap price, but ...can't have everything

    Great

The hotel is wonderfully located inside the old city, near Damascus Gate. The service was fantastic throughout our 4 night stay. Saleh at the desk provided wonderful information and help, and the entire staff was delightful. There were no double rooms available at the time of booking, so we stayed in a triple, which was just fine. The others staying at the hotel were from all reaches of the globe, providing for interesting conversations at breakfast or late afternoons on the rooftop. We will definitely return to Hashimi Hotel for our next stay in Jerusalem, and would encourage you to do the same.

The only thing that was good was the location of the hotel but only that.

No value for money. Do not go there. 90USD I have paid for each night were a huge amount for the services offered or better say not offered.
